The University of Ignorance

Message Title: The University of Ignorance
-
Ministering: Dr. D. K. Olukoya

First Reading
Hosea 4

There are Seven Major Universities.

1. University of Bondage. Many people are unconsciously in bondage.
2. University of Fear.
3. University of Confusion. Confusion of gender.
4. University of Sexual Perversion. Homosexuality, bestiality, sex, etc.
5. University of Greed.  Lack of contemptment.
6. University of Pride.
7. University of Ignorance.

Jesus said: Know the truth and the truth shall set you free.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (KJV)

Isaiah 5:13
Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because [they have] no knowledge: and their honourable men [are] famished, and their multitude dried up with thirst. (KJV)

A man had a dream, in the dream he was in a church and there was a funeral service. He joined in the singing with the congregation, and then suddenly he thought, who died? He looked at the pamphlet and realised that he was the one. Immediately, he started shouting that he is not dead.

A real child of God should rehearse his/her dream with God and claim the good and reject the bad.

Experimentation is ignorance. Your degree of ignorance will determine how much the enemy will defraud you.

Education cannot remove ignorance; however, knowledge will always triumph over ignorance.

Ignorance is not bliss, it is not peace; Ignorance is poverty, devastation, root and stem of evil.

Discussion is an exchange of knowledge while argument is exchange of ignorance.

Ignorance is like alcohol. Nothing limits intelligence as ignorance.

Ignorance is the parent of fear.

The most terrible triplets in the world: Ignorance, Power and Pride.

If the beard signifies intelligence, then the goat will be the most intelligent. Big mouth and small brains makes the greatest noise.

Our prayers must be tailored according to what we see. We need knowledge to be able to tailor our prayers.

Psalm 5:3
My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct [my prayer] unto thee, and will look up. (KJV)

Learn how to prayer: start in the morning, start from little timings like 10 minutes before graduating to 1 hour. Read the bible with absolute concentration and meditations.

When we study the bible: what do I learn, what sins should I confess based on this bible passage, what prayers can I derive from this bible study?

Powers assigned to use me as a sacrifice die, in Jesus name.

The mystery why people perform sacrifice is the because of the blood.

Memorising God's word is very important in getting closer to God. Continues review of bible verses inputs them permanently in the dream. We respond to demonic challenges in our dream/reality using the word of God.

Nothing is worse than practicing ignorance.

O God, arise and revive my soul, in the name Of Jesus!

My Father, My Father, My Father, give me personal Pentecost in the name of Jesus!

Be Thankful, Be Content, Be Rich

"A crust eaten in peace is better than a banquet partaken in anxiety." ~ Aesop
In just 13 words, Aesop captures within this quote the power of contentment and so much more than that. But who will hear the message through all of the seasonal noise?
As we Americans take pause to observe Thanksgiving, the hustle and bustle of the annual holiday often has us swallowing the feast of contentment without even tasting it. Rather than slowing down and peacefully enjoying the crust of simplicity, we feel it necessary to anxiously partake in a banquet of complexity.

The Differences Between Entrepreneurship And Self-Employment

I got intrigued by this powerful article 'Difference between Entrepreneurship and Self-employment; by Adeyemi Olumide. Enjoy!

The differences between ENTREPRENEURSHIP and SELF-EMPLOYMENT
A lot of times we do hear or read about the benefits of being self employed/entrepreneur. In fact, this seems to be the best concept to wealth. But not for once have I ever knew that there is a difference between self-employment and entrepreneurship not until I started reading business articles and books, listening to great business consultants - the likes of Fela Durotoye, Kunle Soriyan, Brain Tracey (these are my most favorites and role model) and so on. Then I sat down thinking every night, am I an entrepreneur or self-employed?

The Leicester City story: From relegation to champions

THE story of Leicester from April 2015 to present day is nothing short of phenomenal.
Sitting dead last in the Premier League and staring an immediate return to the Championship square in the face on April 18, 2015 not a single person could have predicted this...
The then Nigel Pearson-led Foxes won an incredible SEVEN of their last nine games in the 2014-15 season to evade the clutches of the dreaded drop zone.
And the rest, as they say, is history.

How to Become an Ideal Leader

When you are at work, do you get frustrated because things don't seem to be happening the way theyíre supposed to be? You see people milling around but nothing gets accomplished. And in the daily hustle and bustle, do you feel that your goals remain just that ñ goals. Then maybe its time for you to stand up and do something about it. Most people are content just to stand around listening for orders. And it isn't unusual to adopt a follow-the-leader mentality. But maybe, somewhere inside of you, you feel the desire to make things happen ñ to be the head, not the tail. Then maybe leadership just suits you fine. Some people believe that great leaders are made, not born. Yes, it may be true that some people are born with natural talents. However, without practice, without drive, without enthusiasm, and without experience, there can be no true development in leadership. You must also remember that good leaders are continually working and studying to improve their natural skills. This takes a commitment to constantly improve in whatever endeavor a person chooses. First of all, let's define leadership. To be a leader, one must be able to influence others to accomplish a goal, or an objective. He contributes to the organization and cohesion of a group. Contrary to what most people believe, leadership is not about power. It is not about harassing people or driving them using fear. It is about encouraging others towards the goal of the organization. It is putting everyone on the same page and helping them see the big picture of the organization. You must be a leader not a boss. First of all, you have to get people to follow you. How is this accomplished? People follow others when they see a clear sense of purpose. People will only follow you if they see that you know where you are going. Remember that bumper sticker? The one that says, don't follow me, I'm lost too? The same holds true for leadership. If you yourself do not know where you're headed to, chances are people will not follow you at all. You yourself must know the vision of the organization. Having a clear sense of hierarchy, knowing who the bosses are, who to talk to, the organization's goals and objectives, and how the organization works is the only way to show others you know what you are doing. Being a leader is not about what you make others do. It's about who you are, what you know, and what you do. You are a reflection of what you're subordinates must be. Studies have shown that one other bases of good leadership is the trust and confidence your subordinates have of you. If they trust you they will go through hell and high water for you and for the organization. Trust and confidence is built on good relationships, trustworthiness, and high ethics. The way you deal with your people, and the relationships you build will lay the foundation for the strength of your group. The stronger your relationship, the stronger their trust and confidence is in your capabilities. Once you have their trust and confidence, you may now proceed to communicate the goals and objectives you are to undertake. Communication is a very important key to good leadership. Without this you can not be a good leader. The knowledge and technical expertise you have must be clearly imparted to other people. Also, you can not be a good leader and unless you have good judgment. You must be able to assess situations, weigh the pros and cons of any decision, and actively seek out a solution. It is this judgment that your subordinates will come to rely upon. Therefore, good decision-making is vital to the success of your organization. Leaders are not do-it-all heroes. You should not claim to know everything, and you should not rely upon your skills alone. You should recognize and take advantage of the skills and talents your subordinates have. Only when you come to this realization will you be able to work as one cohesive unit. Remember being a leader takes a good deal of work and time. It is not learned overnight. Remember, also, that it is not about just you. It is about you and the people around you. So, do you have the drive and the desire to serve required of leaders? Do you have the desire to work cooperatively with other people? Then start now. Take your stand and be leader today. Christian Inspiration: Fire Up Your Creativity

This article belongs to Dr. C. I. and I have his permission to reproduce it here on this blog. More inspiring articles by Dr C. I. can be found on The Comfort Zone.

Fire Up Your Creativity

Matthew 25:13-30, Gen 6:8, Matt 3:8, James 2:18

Men and brethren, there is no creation without the act of creativity. No man can rise above the level of his imagination to be a creator. When you imagine what you desire, you will possess what you imagine. Therefore, the ability of making the simple awesomely simple is creativity. You are fired up in creativity when you become a doer of your creative thinking. In the Parable of the talent in Matthew 25:13-30, talent is the element of money. It is indeed unfortunate that the term “talent” means something very different today from what our Lord meant when He told this parable. The talent was the largest measurement of money in those days. Since a talent was actually a measurement of weight, it did not have a constant value. A talent of gold, for example, would be worth a whole lot more than a talent of bronze. While commentators differ somewhat over the approximate value of a talent in today’s economy, all would agree that it was a large amount of money. Some say that it was the equivalent to 20 years’ wages for a common labourer. We must remember, then, that a talent is a measure of money; it is not a reference to abilities. The talents were distributed on the basis of ability, not as the bestowing of ability. “And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey” Matthew 25:15

Arsenal Wins the Community Shield

The start of the English Football League season commenced with the Community Shield match between Arsenal the FA Cup Champions and Chelsea the League Champions. Arsenal claimed the title with a magnificent strike from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
This victory will always be recalled as the first victory by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger over his archrival Jose Mourinho the Chelsea manager in 14 games; we hope this beginning of the reign of Wenger over Mourinho.

Other highlights of the encounter involved the lack of sportsmanship between both managers at the end of the game. Jose Mourinho, came out to congratulate the Arsenal team, giving all the Arsenal players a good handshake and great hug to Chelsea former goalkeeper Petr Cech; however, both Mourinho and Wenger inevitably avoided any form of bodily contact. It will be recalled that the two men have a long and acrimonious history of public sniping, with Mourinho infamously labelling Wenger a "voyeur" and specialist in failure" across his two spells at Chelsea and the Arsenal boss pushing his rival on the touchline during a Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge last season.

Nigeria Qualifies for U-23 CAF Championship

Nigeriau23 team the Dream Team VI played out a goalless draw against the Red Devils of Congo today at Pointe Noire; having had a two goals to one lead over the Congolese, Nigeria qualified for the U23 CAF Championship in Senegal which will determine the representatives of Africa in the Rio de Janerio 2016 Olympics.

Dream Team VI coached by Samson Siasia played the game with great tactfulness, they held their ground in Pointe Noire against the Junior Red Devils who needed only a goal to sail through.
Nigeria now joins Algeria, Egypt, South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia had already qualified for the U23 CAF Championship alongside the Senegal. The winner between Mali and Gabon will be the last entrant for the tournament.
