Raising the Family Altar by Pastor Johnson Adegbesan
Exodus 20:22-24, Genesis 3:8, Genesis
5:24
God first thought man how to raise
altar in Exodus 20:22-24. No spiritual man has ever operated without raising an
altar. As a child of God your personal daily praying time is your altar.
A Christian spiritual life is a power
base from where he/she operates and neutralise the influence of spiritual
altars. For an altar to be effective and deliver the required blessing, the
price of regularity, continuity must be maintained.
Anywhere you see an altar; there is always
a spiritual presence there. Any where there is an altar there is always a trafficking
of spirit; either spirit of God or demonic spirit which cannot be seen.
Prayer: Every
altar attacking the altar of God in my life, catch fire, in the name of Jesus,
Amen.
Genesis 28:11-17 - Jacob had a dreamt
here and built an altar. Also, in Genesis 12:7-10, Abraham also built an altar
in the same place; same as Isaac.
There are territorial altars, landlord
altars. When people experience negative turnaround when they move to a new
place or get a new job; there are always territorial powers in such place.
Prayer: Altars
attacking me from the grave catch fire, in the name of Jesus, amen.
Through the use of altars, devil and
its agents has kept territories, families and individual under control -
captivity.
What is an Altar?
1. An altar is a spiritual or physical
place through
2. An altar is a gate through which physical
and spiritual is connected.
3. An altar is a place where gifts and sacrifices
are made to spirits.
4. An altar is traffic of spirits.
5. An altar is a place of blessing s
and curses.
6. An altar is a place of drawing strength.
7. An altar is place of judgement. Knowingly
or unknowingly, directly or indirectly altars influence human lives.
8. Altar is a place of communion with
the spirits.
9. Altar is a place to receive
protection. Psalm 91
10. Altars establish and empower
thrones, for a throne to be powerful altars must be involved.
11. Altars generate glory and power. Revelation
16:7
When pagans make sacrifices to altars,
they do it out of fear. Pagans go as far as sacrificing their loved ones to their
altars; of which their gods are never satisfied. However, unlike pagans, we Christians
sacrifice out of love to our God.
Types of Altars
1. Crossroad altars
2. Tree altars
3. Marine Altars
4. Witchcrafts’ Altars
5. Astral Altars
6. Market Altars
7. Territorial Altars
Market Altars
Acts 16-17 recounts Apostle Paul’s
experience about market altars.
Market altars are as old as
civilisation. Most markets in Africa are started with sacrifices - Human or Animal
sacrifices. Why is this done? They believe that how numerous the maggots from
the sacrifice are, determines how much traffic that occur in the markets. Example
Tejoshun Market, Mile 12 Market, Ariaria Market.
Also, why is it that once a person
becomes mad, he/she runs to the market? Why is it that when the newly mad
person runs to the market, the madness becomes established?
A Christian must always raise an altar
in his business, work, etc.
Marine Altars
Exodus 7 makes us know that Pharaoh was
worshipped the marine altars of the River Nile.
Mostly in the Niger Delta, new born
babies are thrown into the river/ocean and the river will run the new born days
later. If you are from such a place, you should pray hard to be delivered from
marine spirits.
As a Christian
1. A child of God must have a
particular place, a particular time where he/she meets with his/her maker. A
believer must have a personal altar.
2. A child of God must raise a family
altar, where every member of the family and visitors must pray together.
3. A child of God must be part of a
congregational altar.
Must 'Haves' for Every Altar
1. Every altar must have an assignment.
2. Every altar must carry sacrifice. Sacrifices
on an altar includes: Bible, Anointing Oil, Bell, Jotter and Pen, Communion
Bread and Wine, Water of Fire.
3. Every altar must have a supervising
spirit - the Holy Spirit.
No eyes that see God regularly see
corruption. Anytime the fire of your altar dies something/everything in your
life.
The battle of life is altar versus
altar; when an altar meets another altar, the weaker altar bows to the stronger
altar.
Reinforce your altar by talking to God.
Tell God about all altars attacking your altar with God; destroy such altars in
Jesus name, amen. Recall Genesis 3:8
Enoch walked with God.
Prayers
1. Oh Lord my Father, make me a
man/woman of the altar in Jesus name, amen.
2. Oh Lord my Father repair my personal
altar, repair my family altar in Jesus name, amen.
3.
Supervising spirits on any witchcraft altar against my life, scatter, in
the name of Jesus, amen.
4. Diviners, enchanters, operating from
any altar against my life, my family, my business, die, in the name of Jesus, amen.
5. Every voice from every satanic altar
against my life shut up and die now in the name of Jesus, amen.
6. I command the stars, the sun, the
moon and the winds, begin to fight against diviners, enchanters working against
my life, in the name of Jesus amen.
