English Premier League Round Up

Aston Villa 0-1 Manchester United

Adnan Januzaj of Manchester United, who was about to be shipped out of United on loan displayed an immense courage and composure to score the goal that gave Manchester United victory against Aston Villa. The winger put United ahead when he got on the end of Juan Mata's incisive pass and finished with a fine placing.

Southampton 0-3 Everton

Everton secured their first victory of the season. Romelu Lukaku scored a brace in the first half while Ross Barkley completed the scoring to make the score line 3-0. Southampton seems to lack precision in attack except for the thunderclap shot from Mane.

Sunderland 1-3 Norwich City

Norwich means business for the season; the fluidity and sharpness in attack were very good and the Sunderland defence needs a lot of work. Goals from Russell Martin, Steven Whittaker and Nathan Redmond were enough o secure victory for Norwich. Duncan Watmore scored the consolation goal for Sunderland.

Tottenham 2-2 Stoke City

Tottenham blew a two goal lead to draw with Stoke City. Tottenham led with goals from Eric Dier and Nacer Chadli in the first half while Stoke City equalized with goals from Marko Arnautovic (penalty) and Mame Diouf. Stoke still possess their never say die attitude.

West Ham 1-2 Leicester City

100% winning record for Leicester City in the Premier League. Shinji Okazaki put the Foxes ahead and Riyad Mahrez made it 2-0 before half-time - a player to have in Fantasy Football League. Dimitri Payet pulled a goal back as the Hammers improved in the second half.

Watford 0-0 West Brom

The Hornets dominated the match but could not break through a well-organised West Brom defence.

Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal

Arsenal recovered from their opening-day defeat to West Ham to record a hard-fought victory at Crystal Palace. Oliver Giroud got the opener for the Gunners.

Manchester City 3-0 Chelsea

Total annihilation of Jose Mourinho men at the Etihad Stadium today. Manchester City dominated Chelsea in all attacking spheres; goals came from Sergio Aguero in the first half and Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho in the second half.

Liverpool 1-0 Bournemouth

New Liverpool signing Christian Benteke score for the Kops as they maintain their 100% winning record and two clean sheets for the season. A mild controversy on the goal, Phillipe Countinho was adjudged to be interfering with play while in an offside position during the Benteke goal. The offside rule is one of the most confusing rule in football, most times it comes from the referees judgment.
