Kano Pillars without doubt as the leader of the league, kicked off today with an away victory at ABS FC. The first goal coming within 44 seconds of the game by Nasiru Ibrahim, Kano Pillars doubled their league before half-time. In the second-half, ABS FC pulled a goal back in the 63rd minute; however, Kano Pillars ran away with a 3-2 road victory.
Rangers kept their pursuit of the league leaders Kano Pillars with a 3-1 victory over Kwara United. The Flying Antelopes lead 1-0 at half-time, with Mohammed Adamu as the scorer. After the recess, Dare Ojo equalised for Kwara United; however Rangers took back the lead and another goal to cement their win for the day.
Heartland FC, the goal machines of the NPFL took Gombe to the cleaners the first-half with three goal lead, and eventually coming out winners with 4-0 victory. Awka United dominated Bayelsa United with a 3-0 victory at home.
Despite the comeback campaign of Wikki Tourists, Shooting Stars took a deserved 3-2 victory at home. The giant-killers Nembe City got a 2-1 victory of the Warriors of El-Kanemi and Nasarawa United defeated Kaduna United 3-1.
Finally,The Garden City derby ended 0-0 between Sharks and Dolphins FC, while Enyimba draw blanks with Warri Wolves at Aba.
